If you live in Sukma district and have been waiting for a police job that does not ask for an online form, this one is worth reading carefully — because the first condition in this recruitment is also the one that disqualifies the most people. The Office of the Superintendent of Police, Sukma, has invited offline applications for 375 Bastar Fighter Constable posts under the Chhattisgarh Police Special Executive Force. Applications opened on 2 November 2026 and must reach the SP office by 12 December 2026.

The first trap: this is a Sukma-only recruitment

This is not a state-wide vacancy. Only candidates who are local residents of Sukma district can apply, and a local resident certificate is part of the documents you must enclose. If you live anywhere else in Chhattisgarh — or outside the state — you are not eligible, however strong the rest of your application is.

The second trap is the deadline itself. 12 December 2026 is a receipt deadline, not a posting date. An application posted on 11 December that arrives on 13 December will be late. The notification is explicit: the form must physically reach the SP office by the last date. Send it by registered or speed post well in advance, or hand it in in person at one of the designated offices.

Who can apply

Mode Offline only — by hand or by registered/speed post

Note the age trap as well: age is counted as on 1 January 2026, not on the day you apply. Check your age against that date before you fill the form.

The category split gives a sense of who this drive is really for: 315 of the 375 posts are reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates, with 26 for UR, 26 for OBC and 8 for SC candidates.

How selection works — and where bonus marks hide

Selection runs through document verification, physical measurements, a physical efficiency test (PET), a written examination, an interview and a bonus-marks evaluation. The PET carries 100 marks in total — long jump, high jump, shot put, the 100-metre run and the 800-metre run, 20 marks each. The written paper has 50 objective questions on general knowledge, reasoning, local geography, culture, traditions, social values and arithmetic. The interview carries 20 marks.

The bonus marks are where local candidates have a real edge, and they are easy to miss: 5 marks for a heavy motor vehicle driving licence, 5 marks for an NCC ‘C’ or NSS ‘C’ certificate, and 20 marks for knowledge of the local dialect of the district. If you speak the local dialect, make sure that claim is properly documented in your application.

Candidates must also meet the physical measurement and medical standards. The notification lists disqualifications — including knock-knee, flat foot and eye disease — so read paragraph 09 of notification ESTB-1/762/2025-HOME SECTION dated 31 August 2026 before you apply.

How to apply

  1. Fill the application in the prescribed format attached to the official notification.
  2. Attach self-attested photocopies of your educational certificates and marksheets, local resident certificate, caste certificate, and any category-specific certificates (NCC/NSS, driving licence, ex-serviceman, home guard or Agniveer, if applicable).
  3. Send it by registered or speed post, or submit it in person, to the Office of the Superintendent of Police, District Sukma, Composite Building, Kumhararas, Sukma, Chhattisgarh, PIN 494111.
  4. Make sure it reaches by 12 December 2026. Keep the postal receipt safe — it is your only proof of dispatch.

One last point, because it matters here more than in most recruitments: this is a district-level force post, and the posting is in Sukma itself. If you are a Sukma resident who meets the education and age conditions, this is a genuine opening. If you are not, no amount of preparation changes the residency rule — check the official notification on the Chhattisgarh Police website before you spend money on postage.
