The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand, has invited offline applications for 1 post of Office Peon (Karyalaya Paricharak) for its Legal Aid Defense Counsel System office. The complete application must reach the DLSA office by 5:00 PM on 13 November 2026. The interview is already fixed for 16 November 2026 from 11:00 AM — just three days after the last date.

Here is the trap to watch first. Some listings of this job show the last date as 12 November 2026. The official press note says otherwise: applications must reach the office by 5:00 PM on 13 November 2026, and the note repeats that applications received after the fixed date and time will not be considered, including those sent by registered post. The safe reading is the press note’s date — 13 November, 5 PM — but do not plan around the extra day. A form posted on 12 November that arrives on 14 November is a rejected form. Send it by hand if you can, and if you must post it, post it days early.

DLSA Rudraprayag Office Peon Vacancy Details 2026

This recruitment is made under the Legal Aid Defense Counsel System (Modified Scheme) 2022 of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), following the instructions of the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority, Nainital. The appointment is on contract for one year to begin with and may be extended as required under the relevant rules. It is not a permanent post.

Who Can Apply

The notice keeps eligibility simple, and that simplicity hides two conditions worth noting. The educational qualification is Intermediate — 12th pass. Experience is not compulsory; the form has a field for experience “if any”, so a fresher with Intermediate can apply. The second condition is character: the candidate should have no criminal history, meaning no case should have been run against the candidate.

Two things the official press note does not print: an age limit and an application fee. Some advertisements of this job mention 18–35 years, but that figure does not appear in the press note itself. Do not treat it as the official rule — if your age is near any boundary, confirm it at the DLSA office before applying.

How to Apply: Only the Prescribed Form Counts

The application must be made on the prescribed format. No other format will do. Get the form in person from the office of the District Legal Services Authority, Rudraprayag, or download it from the District Court Rudraprayag website, rudraprayag.dcourts.gov.in. The same form is printed as page 2 of the press note, under the title “Application form for selection of Office Peon”.

Fill the form carefully — it asks for your full name in Hindi and in English capital letters, your father’s or husband’s name in English capital letters, date of birth and age, caste and gender (male, female or transgender), permanent and correspondence addresses, mobile number, WhatsApp number, email ID, Aadhaar number, educational qualification, any special qualification and experience, if any. Paste a colour passport size photograph in the box provided. Then sign the declaration, which says the details given are complete and true, and warns that the selection may be cancelled and legal action may follow if any information is found false, incomplete or concealed.

Interview on 16 November 2026

Selection is through an interview at the office of the District Legal Services Authority, Rudraprayag, on 16 November 2026 from 11:00 AM. The note on the application form adds that candidates will be informed separately about the interview date and time on their mobile numbers, so keep the phone number you write on the form active and reachable. When called for the interview, bring all the original documents whose photocopies you attached to the application — they are needed for verification.

The gap between the last date and the interview is only a weekend. That is the second reason to apply early: there is no time to arrange documents after the last date. Get the certificates, the photograph and the form ready now, and keep the originals in one folder.
