IGKV Raipur Recruitment 2026: 6 JRF, RSO, Field Assistant & Lab Attendant Posts, Offline Form by 23 November

Six posts, four different forms, and a hard 5.30 PM deadline — that is the shape of this recruitment, and the form is where most applicants slip up. Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV), Raipur, has opened 6 contractual posts under the project “Establishment of Centre of Excellence on Nuclear Agriculture and Food Processing”. Each post has its own annexure form — Annexure-I for Junior Research Fellow, Annexure-II for Radiation Safety Officer, Annexure-III for Field Assistant and Annexure-IV for Lab Attendant. Sending the right qualifications on the wrong annexure is an avoidable way to be rejected, so match the form to your post before you write anything.

The second thing to understand is that none of these are permanent jobs. All six posts are purely temporary, contractual, time-bound and co-terminus with the project — they last up to the project duration or its termination, whichever is earlier — and the selected candidate cannot claim regular appointment or absorption in the university. What they do offer is a defined project role with a fixed monthly amount, and for the two research posts, an interview in Raipur at the end of November.

The 6 posts

Note the HRA split, because it is easy to misread: HRA is added only for JRF and RSO. Field Assistants and Lab Attendants get no HRA, and no candidate can claim any increment. The notice gives no category-wise break-up of the 6 posts.

Who can apply

• Junior Research Fellow: M.Sc. (Ag.) in Genetics and Plant Breeding from a recognised university.
• Radiation Safety Officer: A Diploma in Engineering, B.Sc., M.Sc., Degree in Engineering or M.Tech., plus one of the specified radiation-safety training qualifications — for example, a training course on radiation safety aspects of gamma irradiation chambers, a post-M.Sc. diploma in radiological physics, or an RSO training course for gamma radiation processing facilities. Working experience in handling a gamma irradiation chamber facility and radiation safety aspects is desirable.
• Field Assistant and Lab Attendant: B.Sc. (Ag.) or B.Sc. (Hort.).
• Age: Minimum 21 years and maximum 35 years. The notice prints no cut-off date for counting age. Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, physically challenged, ex-serviceman and women candidates, and for Chhattisgarh domicile, is given as per university and Chhattisgarh government rules.
• The notification does not specify an application fee.

JRF and RSO appointments are subject to ICAR guidelines, and Field Assistant and Lab Attendant appointments to university guidelines — the practical point is the same: read the notification for your post, because the rules behind each post are not identical.

Dates that matter after you apply

Field Assistants and Lab Attendants are not interviewed in the same way — they are selected by direct recruitment based on a score card under the university guidelines — while JRF and RSO selection is based on academic performance and interview. The interview venue for JRF and RSO is the Seminar Hall, Director of Research Services, IGKV, Raipur, with reporting one hour earlier for document verification. Bring all original documents and certificates for verification, and note that no travelling or daily allowance is paid to shortlisted candidates.

How to apply

1. Use the annexure form for your post, given with the notice, and affix a self-attested passport photograph.
2. Fill in the details the form asks for — name in block letters, father’s or husband’s name, permanent address, email ID, mobile number, date of birth as per your SSC certificate, category, gender and domicile — plus the academic qualifications table and the sections on awards, publications, experience and extracurricular activities, attaching self-attested proof for each.
3. Note that the experience section differs by form: the JRF form asks for experience as RA, SRF, JRF, TA, Farm Manager and similar roles in government institutions, while the FA and LA forms ask for experience in a central or state government department, corporation, institute, board, university or authority.
4. Sign the declaration with date and place, attach self-attested copies of certificates and related documents, and send the application by registered post, speed post or by hand to the Office of the Director Research Services, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur – 492012 (Chhattisgarh).
5. Make sure it reaches by 23 November 2026 at 5.30 PM. Applications reaching after the due date will not be considered in any condition, and incomplete applications will be rejected. Canvassing in any form leads to disqualification.

Because late delivery means outright rejection, post the form with enough days in hand, or deliver it by hand if you can. A form that arrives on 24 November, however strong the application, is not considered.
