Three posts, three different qualifications, one envelope — and the notice itself carries a date that does not add up. The Officer-in-Charge, Station Headquarters (ECHS Cell), Raiwala, Dehradun, has invited offline applications from Indian citizens for 3 contractual posts — 1 Peon (Chaprasi), 1 DEO/Clerk and 1 Nursing Assistant — at the ECHS polyclinics in Raiwala and Tehri. The form must reach the office by 22 November 2026; posting it on the last day is not enough, because this is a receipt deadline, not a despatch deadline.

There is no application fee, and both men and women can apply. But read the eligibility for your post carefully before you send anything: the three posts ask for three very different qualifications, and the notice gives ex-servicemen first preference — civilians are taken only if ex-servicemen are not available.

The 3 posts at a glance

Post Posts Monthly pay Polyclinic Qualification
Peon (Chaprasi) 1 Rs. 21,800 Tehri 8th pass
DEO / Clerk 1 Rs. 29,200 Tehri Graduate / Class-1 Clerical Trade
Nursing Assistant 1 Rs. 36,500 Raiwala GNM Diploma / Class 1 Course (Armed Forces)

Age for all three posts is 18 to 53 years, counted as on the last date. The engagement is on a contract basis for 12 months, which may be extended by a further 12 months if required.

The interview date in the notice looks wrong — check before you travel

This is the part that needs a warning in bold. The notice says shortlisted candidates must report for interview at Station Headquarters, Raiwala, Dehradun, at 9:30 AM with two photographs and all original documents, and that the interview runs from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. But the date printed alongside that instruction reads 26 June 2026 — months before the last date for applications. That cannot be the interview date for this round, and it looks like a printing error carried over from an older notice.

Do not book travel on the strength of that printed date. If you are shortlisted, confirm the interview date and time from the ECHS office or the official notice before travelling to Raiwala. The rest of the notice — posts, pay, last date, address — is consistent, but a wrong interview date is exactly the kind of detail that wastes a trip.

Who gets preference, and what experience means here

Ex-servicemen get preference in selection. If ex-servicemen are not available for a post, civilian candidates can be appointed. That matters most for the Peon and DEO/Clerk posts, where ex-servicemen with the matching trade are likely to apply — a civilian applicant should still apply, but should know the queue is not first-come-first-served.

The notice also says applicants for these posts should have experience of the related work. The exact experience asked for differs by post, so read the notice text for your post rather than assuming a fixed number of years. Only candidates who fulfil the eligibility conditions should apply.

Documents to send with the form

Attach self-attested copies of the following with the application, in the order given in the notice. Do not send original certificates.

  • Aadhaar card and PAN card copies.
  • 8th, 10th, 12th, graduation, diploma or degree certificates, as applicable to the post.
  • Medical or pharmacy council registration, if required for the post.
  • PPO, discharge book and identity card (for ex-servicemen).
  • Experience certificate, if experience is required for the post.
  • No-objection certificate from the current employer, if employed.

How to apply — in duplicate, by post

  1. Fill the prescribed application form. The notice says the application must be sent in duplicate — two filled copies.
  2. Write the name of the post and your category on the envelope. The notice lists this as a condition, and an envelope without it risks being set aside.
  3. Attach the self-attested documents listed above.
  4. Send it by post so that it reaches by 22 November 2026 at this address:

Officer-in-Charge, ECHS Cell, Station Headquarter, Raiwala – 249205 (Uttarakhand)

Send it at least a few days early. A form that arrives on 23 November, even if posted on time, will not be considered.

Why this one is worth applying for

Three posts is a small intake, and that is the honest picture — but the bar is also narrow: 8th pass for the Peon post, a graduate for the clerk post, and a GNM diploma for the nursing post, with no fee and no written exam mentioned in the notice. For an ex-serviceman in the Dehradun–Tehri belt, or a civilian with the matching qualification living nearby, it is a straightforward offline application with a clear address and a clear last date. Just get the envelope right, send two copies, and do not trust the printed interview date until it is confirmed.
