Two details in this table that most quick summaries will flatten — check them carefully:

1. The upper age limit is not the same for every post. Female Attendant and Lab Assistant go up to 55 years, while the other five posts stop at 53 years. If you are 54 and eyeing the Peon post, you are over-age for it — but still eligible for Lab Assistant (if qualified) as per the printed limits.
2. Age will be counted as on the last date — 29 October 2026 — not on 1st January or 1st July as in many other recruitments. If your 18th birthday falls on or before 29 October 2026, you meet the minimum age for this recruitment.

The One Rule That Decides Your Chances: Ex-Servicemen First

Point 7 of the official instructions is blunt: preference will be given to ex-servicemen for selection on these posts, and the applications of civilian candidates will be considered only when eligible ex-servicemen are not available.

What this means in practice:

• If you are an ex-serviceman with the required qualification, this recruitment is genuinely meant for you — apply with your PPO, Discharge Book and service ID copies attached.
• If you are a civilian, do not skip applying — ECHS polyclinics regularly end up engaging civilians because ESM candidates are not available for every post. But go in with clear expectations: your application is next in line, not first.
