ECHS Bikaner Recruitment 2026: Clerk, Lab Technician, Physiotherapist & Dental Hygienist – 8 Posts, Offline Form, Last Date 23 October

The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), under the Ministry of Defence, has announced contractual recruitment for 8 posts across its polyclinics in Rajasthan — Clerk (5 posts), Lab Technician, Physiotherapist and Dental Hygienist (1 each). The application is offline, completely free, and must reach the Station Headquarters at Bikaner by 23 October 2026.

This is a bigger opportunity than the usual 1–2 post ECHS notices — especially the 5 Clerk vacancies, which are open to plain graduates.

One Form, Five Cities — How the Posting Works

Here’s what most applicants miss: you’re not applying for “Bikaner” alone. The 5 Clerk posts are spread across five different polyclinics — Bikaner, Churu, Rajgarh, Nagaur and Didwana — while the Lab Technician and Dental Hygienist posts are at Churu and the Physiotherapist post at Nagaur.

Your single application goes to the Station HQ at Bikaner, and the posting location is decided from these polyclinics. If you’re from Churu or Nagaur district, this matters — a local candidate is always more practical for the polyclinic, and ECHS openly prefers ex-servicemen anyway (more on that below).

The Clerk Posts Deserve Your Full Attention

Five out of eight posts are for Clerk — and this is the one post where ordinary civilian graduates have a genuine shot. The qualification is “Graduate / Class-1 Clerical Trade (Armed Forces)” — that slash matters. It means a plain BA/B.Com/B.Sc graduate is eligible; you don’t need a military trade certificate for this post.

At ₹29,200 per month with no application fee, this is one of the most accessible ECHS vacancies doing the rounds right now. If you’re a graduate sitting in Rajasthan with no job, this is the post to circle.

The other three posts (Lab Technician, Physiotherapist, Dental Hygienist) are technical — they need specific diplomas or Armed Forces trade courses, so they’re naturally tilted toward ex-servicemen and trained paramedics.

Contract Terms: Read the Fine Print on 12 vs 11 Months

The notice has an unusual clause worth understanding:

  • Ex-servicemen: engagement for 1 year (12 months)
  • Civilian candidates: appointment for only 11 months

This isn’t a typo — ECHS follows this pattern in many of its recruitments. The practical meaning: civilians get a slightly shorter first contract. Extensions depend on requirement and performance, as with all ECHS contracts.

Other terms are standard ECHS: fixed monthly pay (no DA revisions), no TA/DA for the interview, and priority to ex-servicemen — civilian applications are considered only if no suitable ESM candidate is available.

Who Should Apply

  • Clerk: Any graduate (any stream). Computer familiarity helps in practice, though the notice doesn’t list it as mandatory.
  • Lab Technician: B.Sc in Medical Lab Technology, or DMLT.
  • Physiotherapist: Diploma in Physiotherapy, or the Armed Forces Class-1 Physiotherapy course.
  • Dental Hygienist: Dental Hygiene diploma, or the Armed Forces Class-1 DH/DORA course.
  • Everyone: Relevant work experience is explicitly asked for — “आवेदक को पद से सम्बन्धित कार्य का अनुभव होना चाहिए.”

How to Apply (Offline)

  1. Fill the ECHS application form in two copies, clearly and completely.
  2. Attach self-attested copies of your documents — never send originals by post.
  3. On the envelope, write the post name and your caste/category.
  4. Send it by registered post, speed post, ordinary post — or deliver it by hand (the notice allows personal submission) so it reaches on or before 23 October 2026:

Officer-in-Charge,
Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme [ECHS Cell],
Station Headquarters, Military Station,
Bikaner – 334001 (Rajasthan)

Bikaner locals: handing it in personally removes all postal-delay risk.

Documents to Attach

  • Aadhaar card and PAN card (self-attested copies)
  • 8th / 10th / 12th / graduation / diploma / degree certificates, as applicable
  • Medical or pharmacy council registration (if the post requires it)
  • PPO, discharge book and service ID proof (for ex-servicemen)
  • Experience certificate for post-related work
  • No Objection Certificate from current employer, if employed

Selection: Interview in February–March (Yes, There’s a Wait)

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview via telephone, email or SMS — there is no admit card system. Note the timeline honestly: the notice says interviews will be held in February/March, so expect a 4–5 month wait after applying. Only candidates who meet the eligibility conditions will be called. Carry all original documents, two passport-size photographs and a medical fitness certificate on interview day. No TA/DA is paid.

Mistakes That Get ECHS Forms Rejected

  1. Sending originals — self-attested copies only, always.
  2. Single copy — the notice asks for the form in duplicate.
  3. Blank envelope — post name + category on the envelope is mandatory.
  4. Unclear handwriting — “स्पष्ट रूप से भरकर भेजें” is an explicit instruction.
  5. Missing the deadline — it must reach Bikaner by 23 October, not just be posted.
  6. Civilians ignoring the ESM priority — apply by all means, but know that ex-servicemen are considered first.
