The Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida) has invited offline applications for 65 Urban ASHA (शहरी आशा) posts across the district’s urban health centres. If you are a 10th-pass woman living in Noida or Greater Noida and want to work in community health, this is a rare women-focused government opportunity — but it comes with conditions most applicants overlook, starting with the fact that ASHA is an incentive-based role, not a fixed-salary job.

  • Married, widowed, or divorced/separated women are given preference in selection.

  • All categories are eligible.

What “Urban ASHA” Means — and How the Pay Works

ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) workers are the bridge between the community and the health system — tracking pregnancies, immunisation, institutional deliveries, and disease-control programmes in their assigned mohalla. While most people associate ASHAs with villages, Urban ASHAs do the same work in city slums and settlements under the National Urban Health Mission.

The honest part about money: ASHAs do not get a fixed monthly salary. They earn a प्रोत्साहन राशि (incentive amount) linked to the tasks they complete — institutional deliveries facilitated, immunisation sessions, family-planning work, and so on. Apply only if you understand and accept this incentive-based structure.

How to Apply Offline — Step by Step

  1. Write your application on plain paper with complete details — name, husband’s/father’s name, date of birth, full address with mohalla, mobile number, qualifications, and category.
  2. Prepare the affidavit — get a shapath patra (affidavit) on Rs 10 stamp paper, issued through a notary. This is mandatory.
  3. Superscribe the envelope — on top of the envelope write: शहरी आशा के पद के लिये आवेदन, नगर क्षेत्र मोहल्ला बस्ती (also mention your mohalla/basti name).
  4. Attach self-attested photocopies of all documents listed below. Do NOT send original certificates.
  5. Send it through your regional ANM, or by registered post, or deliver by hand, so that it reaches on or before 26 October 2026:
    कार्यालय, मुख्य चिकित्सा अधिकारी, 8वां तल, सेक्टर-39, नोएडा-201303 (गौतमबुद्धनगर)
  6. Write your mobile number clearly — interview/test information is communicated only on the mobile number given in the application. A wrong or switched-off number means you miss your call.

Documents to Attach

Self-attested photocopies only — never originals:

  1. Educational qualification certificates (10th marksheet/certificate)
  2. Caste certificate photocopy (if from a reserved category)
  3. Experience certificate photocopy (if the post demands relevant experience)
  4. Aadhaar card or residence-proof photocopy
  5. Notarized affidavit on Rs 10 stamp paper (mandatory)

Selection Process

There is no written exam mentioned. Candidates with experience of working in health-department programmes get preference, and shortlisted applicants are informed about the interview on their registered mobile number. Final selection follows the department’s merit/selection norms for ASHA engagement.

5 Mistakes That Get Applications Rejected

1. Applying from outside the area. The single biggest filter: the applicant must be a local resident woman of the concerned mohalla. An application from another district or city is a straight reject.

2. Forgetting the Rs 10 stamp-paper affidavit. This is unusual and easy to miss — without the notarized shapath patra, your application is incomplete.

3. Sending original documents. Only self-attested photocopies. Originals are never asked for at this stage.

4. A careless mobile number. The department contacts you only on the number in your form. Illegible handwriting or a number you don’t use regularly can cost you the interview call.

5. Cutting/overwriting on the form. Fill everything neatly in your own handwriting; never cut or overwrite. Write “N.A.” where a column doesn’t apply.
