DDRC Tehri Garhwal Recruitment 2026: Attendant and Accountant Clerk Posts – 8th Pass, B.Com, Apply Offline by 25 October
A small but genuine opening has come up in Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. The District Disabled Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC), Tehri Garhwal – the district-level centre that works for persons with disabilities – has invited offline applications from Indian citizens for two contractual posts: Attendant cum Peon cum Messenger and Accountant cum Clerk cum Storekeeper. If you are 8th pass, the first post is open to you. If you hold a B.Com degree and have two years of accounts and store work behind you, the second one is worth a serious look.
There is no application fee, no written exam and no online portal to fight with. You fill a paper form, attach self-attested copies of your documents, and make sure the envelope reaches New Tehri by 25 October 2026. Selection is through an interview, and the centre will inform shortlisted candidates on their mobile number and email – so the two contact details candidates write most carelessly are exactly the two that matter most here.
One honest warning before the details: this is a contract / temporary appointment, not a permanent government job. The advertisement says so clearly, and your application should be made with that understanding.

| Post Name | Monthly Salary | Minimum Age | Qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Attendant cum Peon cum Messenger | ₹11,400 per month | 18 years | 8th pass |
| Accountant cum Clerk cum Storekeeper | ₹17,400 per month | 18 years | B.Com pass, with 2 years of experience in accounts and store work |
Both posts are open to male and female candidates, and candidates of any category can apply – the advertisement states this in so many words.
Read the B.Com post’s eligibility twice
For the Accountant cum Clerk cum Storekeeper post, the degree alone is not enough. The advertisement asks for B.Com plus two years of experience in accounts (lekha) and store work, and an experience certificate copy is in the compulsory document list. So if your experience is only in general office work with no accounts or store handling, expect the scrutiny to happen at the interview stage. Attach the experience certificate even if your previous employer was a small private firm – a missing paper is a weaker position than an ordinary-looking paper.
For the Attendant post, no experience is demanded. The 8th-class certificate does double duty here: it proves your education and, as the notice specifically points out, it is also accepted as proof of your date of birth.
Two Things in This Advertisement That Can Confuse You
Newspaper advertisements are not always printed perfectly, and this one has two gaps you should know about before you apply, because guessing wrongly in either place can cost you the post.
1. The number of vacancies is not printed. The advertisement lists the posts, salary and qualification, but does not state how many vacancies exist for each post. It only says the number of posts can be increased or decreased as per requirement, and the selection committee’s decision will be final. Do not trust any website or video that quotes an exact vacancy figure for this recruitment – that number is not in the official advertisement.
2. Maximum age limit is not printed either. Only the minimum age – 18 years – is given. The advertisement itself explains that since no maximum age is mentioned, the maximum age will be as per Uttarakhand State Government rules. Age will be calculated as on the last date of application, i.e. 25 October 2026.
(A smaller printing quirk: both posts are numbered “01” in the advertisement’s table. That changes nothing – they are two separate posts, and you apply for the one you are eligible for.)
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 18 years for both posts
- Maximum age: Not specified in the advertisement; applicable as per Uttarakhand State Government rules
- Age calculation date: As on the last date, 25 October 2026
Application Fee
There is no application fee at all – the advertisement states this clearly (“Avedan shulk kuchh nahi”). Do not pay any amount to any person who claims to charge for this form or this recruitment.

Selection Process
Selection will be made on the basis of an interview. There is no written test mentioned in the advertisement. Candidates called for the interview will be informed through email and phone/mobile, so:
- Write a mobile number that stays active and is personally used by you.
- Write an email ID you actually check – do not borrow someone else’s.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview; you travel at your own expense.
Documents to Attach With the Application Form
Send self-attested photocopies only. The advertisement is strict on one point: do not send original certificates with the application.
- Certificates of all educational and professional qualifications
- 8th-class or other educational certificate as proof of date of birth
- Caste certificate copy (for reserved category candidates)
- Experience certificate copy (essential for the Accountant Clerk post)
- One envelope with your complete postal address written on it (self-addressed envelope)
- Any other relevant certificates, if applicable
How to Apply Offline – Step by Step
- Get the application form. The form is available from the form sellers in your village/town, the same place from where offline forms for such recruitments are sold.
- Fill every column in clear letters. The instructions are strict: no cutting, no overwriting. If you make a mistake, take a fresh form instead of correcting it on the same sheet.
- Attach the documents listed above – all self-attested photocopies, no originals.
- Write on the envelope. On top of the envelope, write “Application for the post of ……..” and do not forget to write your Category – the advertisement says this is compulsory.
- Send it in time. The filled form must reach the address below by 25 October 2026, either in person or by registered post: District Disabled Rehabilitation Centre (Jila Divyang Punarvas Kendra), Hilltran Building, Near Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) Office, New Tehri, Tehri Garhwal – 249001 (Uttarakhand)
- Keep the instructions page with yourself. The advertisement specifically says not to attach the instruction sheet with the application.
If you are sending by post, send it a few days early rather than on the last day. Tehri is a hill district, and registered post to New Tehri can take longer than plain-area delivery – the condition is that your envelope reaches by 25 October, not that you posted it by then.
