KGBV Lakhimpur Kheri Recruitment 2026: 158 Women-Only Posts, Offline Form by 30 November

The District Basic Education Officer, Lakhimpur Kheri (Uttar Pradesh), has invited offline applications from women candidates for 158 contractual posts in the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) of the district for the 2026-27 academic session. The notice, Advertisement No. 4855-64/2026-27 (Samagra Shiksha, KGBV), is dated 28 October 2026, and the last date for the application to reach the office is 30 November 2026 by 5 PM.

Before anything else, read the three conditions that reject the most forms in this recruitment. First, this is a women-only recruitment — every one of the 158 posts is reserved for women candidates, and a form from a male candidate will not be considered. Who Can Apply

The age limit is counted as on 1 April 2026. For the Principal's post the age is 30 to 45 years, with at least four years of teaching experience in Classes 9 to 12. For all other posts the age is 25 to 45 years. The maximum age for service in the KGBVs is 60 years.

The qualifications differ sharply by post, so check your own post in the notification rather than assuming a graduation degree is enough:

• Principal: Trained (B.Ed) postgraduate degree in the relevant subject, with the experience stated above. The Principal also teaches her own subject — no separate PGT is appointed for it.
• PGT and Computer Science: Postgraduate degree in the subject with B.Ed. Computer Science also accepts B.E./B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc. Computer Science, or a postgraduate degree with DOEACC B-level or a PG Diploma in Computer Application.
• Care Taker: Postgraduate with B.Ed. This is a full-time post and she must stay at the school at night.
• Office Superintendent / Clerk: Intermediate with a computer qualification (CCC from NIELIT or Computer Science as a subject), plus typing speed of 25 wpm in Hindi and 30 wpm in English. The typing test is held at NIC.
• Lab Assistant: High School with science and a diploma in laboratory technique, or Intermediate with science.
• Peon, Chowkidar, Cook, Assistant Cook: Class 8 pass. These are full-time posts and the selected candidate must stay at the school.
• Full-time Teacher (Classes 6 to 8): Trained (B.Ed) graduate with upper primary level TET. For Mathematics, a graduate with the PCM group; for Social Science, a graduate with Geography, History or Civics.
• Part-time Teacher (Physical Education): Trained graduate — B.P.Ed, C.P.Ed or D.P.Ed. TET is not required for this post.

Anyone dismissed from service, convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude, or declared insolvent is not eligible. The notification does not mention any application fee, so do not pay anyone who asks for one in the name of this recruitment — confirm the fee position from the official notification on kheri.nic.in.

How Selection Works

There is no written exam in the usual sense. Selection is on merit, worked out from the candidate's marks: High School counts for 10, Intermediate for 10, graduation for 20, postgraduation for 20 and training for 30. That means your B.Ed marks carry the single biggest weight — 30 out of 100 — which is unusual and worth knowing before you apply.

Clerk applicants take a computer typing test in Hindi and English at NIC. At the time of selection, the certificates of teaching and non-teaching staff are verified with the board or institution that issued them, and the honorarium is paid only after this verification.

1. Get the application form in the prescribed format. It is printed with the notice, which is also available on the official district website, kheri.nic.in.
2. Fill a separate form for each post you apply for, and write the post name and subject on the outside of each envelope.
3. Attach readable, self-attested copies of all qualification documents, the latest caste certificate if you apply in a reserved category, and experience certificates showing the issuing institution's letter number and date.
4. Put two self-addressed envelopes inside your application, each with Rs. 56 in postage stamps. This is easy to miss and the notice asks for it clearly.
5. Send the form by registered post or speed post to the Office of the District Basic Education Officer, Samagra Shiksha, Janpad Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh — 262701. It must arrive by 5 PM on 30 November 2026.

Forms are rejected for incomplete or incorrect details, unreadable copies, mark sheets downloaded from the internet, experience certificates without the issuing institution's letter number and date, and marks on the form that do not match the attached mark sheets. The district selection committee may change, correct or cancel the notice at any time.
