SCEA Maharashtra Recruitment 2026: 3 Retired-Officer Contract Posts in Pune, Offline Form by 18 November

If you are a serving employee, or you retired from a private company, stop here — this notification is not for you. The State Cooperative Election Authority (SCEA), Maharashtra State, Pune, has invited applications for 3 contract posts, and they are open only to officers and employees who have retired from a department of the Maharashtra State Government. That single condition decides most applications before they are even read, so it is worth stating first: a fresh graduate, however well qualified, cannot apply for these posts.

The second trap is subtler, and it is about pay. The notification prints two pay scales — S-15 (Rs. 41,800 – 1,32,300) and S-14 (Rs. 38,600 – 1,22,800). Those are the scales from which you must have retired, not the salary of the contract post. The actual monthly remuneration is fixed under a General Administration Department resolution dated 10 June 2025, at an amount equal to your pension with dearness allowance admissible on the date of appointment, and it stays the same for the contract period. Anyone applying in the expectation of an S-15 salary is misunderstanding the offer.

The 3 posts

The appointment is on contract, for a maximum of one year at a time. It can be renewed year by year on the basis of a performance evaluation and the Authority’s need, but the total period will not exceed three years. The appointment is purely contractual and temporary, and it gives no lien or right to any government post.

Who exactly can apply

• You must have retired as an officer or employee of a Maharashtra State Government department, from the relevant pay scale for the post.
• You must have at least 3 years’ experience in the proposed pay scale, or the special qualification required for the specific work.
• You must not have completed 65 years of age. Those appointed can work only up to the age of 65. The notice gives no “as on” date for age, so if you are close to 65, check the official notification carefully before applying.
• The notification does not specify a minimum educational qualification. The application form itself asks for details of SSC, HSC, diploma (if any), degree, postgraduate degree, and computer and typing qualifications, so your service record matters more here than a single degree.

The Authority has also reserved the right to reduce the number of posts or not to fill any of them, and any information found false at any stage can lead to cancellation of the selection or appointment without notice.

Use the prescribed application form, printed with the notice and available from the Authority’s office and its official websites. Fill in your date of birth, date of retirement, correspondence address, telephone and mobile number and email ID clearly. Enclose:

• A true photocopy of your Pension Payment Order (PPO).
• Self-attested photocopies of all documents mentioned in the form.
• An attested copy of the PPO number booklet, attested by the office from which you retired.
• Details of any disciplinary action during service — or, if there was none, a photocopy of the nil certificate given by your office at retirement.

The form also asks for your Aadhaar number, PAN, PPO number, the bank and branch where you draw your pension and your account number, plus details of your government service, posts held, periods of service and awards, and your position at retirement. You will sign a declaration that the information is true and that you accept the purely contractual nature of the appointment.

How and where to apply

Send the completed prescribed form to the Member Secretary, State Cooperative Election Authority, Maharashtra State, Pune, Old Central Building, Ground Floor, Pune – 411001, by post or by hand. The notice also allows the form to be sent by email. The application period runs from 2 November 2026 to 18 November 2026, and applications received after the prescribed period will not be considered. The notification does not specify any application fee.

Selection is by scrutiny of applications, after which eligible applicants will be called for an oral interview. No interview date is given in the notice, so keep an eye on the Authority’s official website after you apply.
