ECHS Kasauli Recruitment 2026: Driver & Dental Hygienist Posts – 8th Pass Eligible, Offline Application, Last Date 2 November

The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), under the Ministry of Defence, has invited offline applications for two contractual posts at its polyclinics in Himachal Pradesh — Driver (Solan) and Dental Hygienist (Ghumarvi). Only two posts are open, the application is completely free, and the last date to reach the office by post is 2 November 2026.

The Driver post is at the Solan polyclinic and the Dental Hygienist post is at the Ghumarvi polyclinic. Both men and women can apply.

Who Should Actually Apply (Read This Before Writing the Envelope)

This is the part most people get wrong. The Driver post doesn’t just ask for any driving licence — it asks for Class 1 Driver MT (Armed Forces). That is a military driving trade qualification. In plain words: this vacancy is practically written for ex-servicemen of the Army’s Motor Transport trade. Civilian candidates with only a civil driving licence should not waste a postage stamp on the Driver post.

The Dental Hygienist post is more open — a recognised diploma in dental hygiene (or Class-1 DH/DOR A course) is what matters there.

Terms of the Job

Contract basis only — 12 months at first, extendable by another 12 months based on requirement.
Pay is fixed monthly remuneration — ₹25,600 for Driver and ₹28,100 for Dental Hygienist. No separate grade-pay games.
Age is counted as on the last date (2 November 2026), and the age band is a generous 18–53.
No application fee for any category. If anyone asks you for money for this form, walk away.

Selection Process
