ATMA Simdega in Jharkhand has invited offline applications for 15 posts — 5 Block Technology Managers and 10 Assistant Technology Managers. The last date for receipt is 25 November 2026, and the notification is dated 29 October 2026.

Before anything else, get the fee right, because this is the one step that cannot be fixed after posting. The fee is Rs. 500 for all candidates, and it is paid only by a nationalised bank demand draft in favour of “PROJECT DIRECTOR, ATMA, SIMDEGA”, payable at Simdega. There is no online payment option mentioned. A draft in the wrong name, or a draft payable elsewhere, risks the form being set aside — and with a demand draft, you only discover the problem after the money is already made.

Who Is Eligible

Block Technology Manager needs a Post Graduate degree in Agriculture or an allied sector, with computer skill, plus the two years of field experience. Assistant Technology Manager needs a Graduate degree in Agriculture, or a Post Graduate degree in Agriculture or an allied sector, with one year of field experience preferred rather than mandatory. A degree from a university or institute recognised by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is desirable, and local residents of Simdega or Jharkhand will be given preference. Candidates already working in any institution need a no objection certificate.

These are contract posts, not permanent ones: the initial contract is for one year, extendable yearly on the basis of the Performance Appraisal Report. Anyone joining should go in with that expectation, not with the assumption of a permanent posting.

• Appearance in the computer proficiency test is compulsory — skipping it is not an option.
• The cut-off is 50 marks for the Unreserved category and 40 marks for Reserved and backlog categories.

So a strong academic record alone is not enough; the computer test score is part of the same 100 marks. Attach your computer proficiency certificate with the form, and do not assume experience without a certificate will be counted — enclose the work experience certificate too.
