Who Can Apply?

A few things worth knowing before you apply:

• Ex-servicemen get preference. That’s the whole point of ECHS — it’s a scheme for ex-servicemen. But if ex-servicemen aren’t available for a post, civilian candidates can also be appointed, so don’t assume you’re out of the race.
• All categories (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS) can apply — there’s no category-wise restriction in this advertisement.
• Both male and female candidates are eligible.
• For most posts except Chowkidar, the advertisement asks for work experience (Pharmacist: 3 years; other posts: minimum 5 years as mentioned in the notice). Read the post-wise conditions carefully before sending your form.

Salary

This is a contractual engagement, and the pay is a fixed monthly amount — ₹21,800 for Safaiwala, Peon and Chowkidar; ₹25,200 for Driver; ₹29,200 for Clerk/DEO; and ₹36,500 for Pharmacist, Nursing Assistant, Lab Assistant and Dental Hygienist. The contract is for one year (11 months for civilian appointees).
