The Headquarters, Coast Guard (West), Mumbai has invited offline applications from Indian citizens for six different posts — Multi Tasking Staff (Peon and Chowkidar), Lascar, Store Keeper Grade-II, Civilian Motor Transport Driver and Engine Driver.

There is no online form here. You fill the application on paper, attach your documents, and send it by ordinary post to Mumbai. The last date for the application to reach the office is 3 November 2026. Reservation applies as per rules — the Store Keeper and Lascar posts are earmarked for EWS, the Engine Driver post for SC, and the remaining posts for OBC candidates.

Who Can Apply? Eligibility in Simple Words

The best part of this recruitment is how reachable it is. For the MTS Peon and Chowkidar posts, a plain 10th pass certificate is enough — no experience asked. The Lascar post also needs 10th pass, but with three years of relevant experience.

The Store Keeper Grade-II post asks for 12th pass along with experience of store-keeping work. Both driver posts need 10th pass plus hands-on experience — the Motor Transport Driver must hold light and heavy vehicle driving licences with knowledge of vehicle mechanism and two years of experience, while the Engine Driver needs at least two years of work in an automobile workshop.

One strict rule: apply for only one post. The advertisement clearly says a candidate should submit an application for a single post only.

Age Limit and Relaxation

Age will be counted as on the last date of application, i.e. 3 November 2026. The age bracket differs post to post — 18 to 27 for MTS and MT Driver, 18 to 25 for Store Keeper, and 18 to 30 for Lascar and Engine Driver.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories get relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government of India rules, so check the official notification for the exact relaxation applicable to you.

How to Apply — Step by Step
